These terms govern your use of the Eqtepas service through eqtepas.net, the web app, the browser extension, and the mobile app. By using the service you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.

1. Acceptance of the terms

By creating an account or using any part of the service, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these terms. If you do not agree with any of them, do not use the service.

2. Description of the service

Eqtepas is a tool for capturing quotations from web pages and PDF files, organizing them in a personal library, citing them in citation styles, and exporting them. We may add, modify, or discontinue features, and we will notify you in advance of any material change affecting your use.

3. Your account

Your account information must be accurate and up to date. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. The account is personal and may not be sold or shared.

4. Plans, payment, and refunds

The service offers a free plan with usage limits and a paid plan with higher limits, both described on the pricing page. A paid subscription renews automatically at the end of each cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date; cancelling stops the next renewal while your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period. Amounts paid for a cycle that has begun are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change prices with prior notice, effective from the next renewal cycle. Payments are handled by a licensed payment processor, and your card details never pass through our servers.

Where a plan is described as "unlimited", this means reasonable personal use within the daily limits shown on the pricing page, and we may restrict excessive or automated use that harms the service or its users.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the service in violation of applicable law, attempt to breach or disrupt it, gain unauthorized access to its systems or to others' accounts, reverse-engineer its software, use it in heavy automated ways beyond plan limits, or upload unlawful content or content that infringes others' rights.

6. Your content and copyright

Your content belongs to you. By saving it to the service you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it to you, only to the extent needed to operate the service, ending when you delete it or your account. You are responsible for ensuring your quotations comply with fair-quotation and copyright rules in your country: the service is a research and citation tool, not a license to republish protected content.

7. Intellectual property

The service, its software, design, name, and brand belong to us or our licensors, and none of it may be copied or reused outside what the service offers without our written permission.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and as available. We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of text extraction and citation building, but extraction and citation output may contain errors, and you should review it before relying on it in your work or research.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or loss of profit arising from use of, or inability to use, the service, and our total liability to you shall not exceed what you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account upon a material breach of these terms, notifying you where possible. You may delete your account at any time as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. We change the "last updated" date at the top of the page and notify you in the app of any material change; your continued use of the service afterwards constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
